Adecco is assisting a valued client in Lake Placid, NY with the search for an experienced Line Cook . This direct hire opportunity offers a consistent schedule, competitive pay, and the chance to join a team committed to delivering exceptional food quality and customer service in a fast-paced environment.
Schedule & Pay Schedule: Friday - Tuesday, 5:30 AM - 1:30 PM Pay Range: $20.00 - $20.50 per hour Employment Type: Direct Hire, Full-Time (40 hours per week)
Position Overview
The Line Cook is responsible for supporting daily food production in a professional kitchen environment, including grill, pantry, hotline, and cold food preparation areas. This role plays a key part in ensuring meals are prepared safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards while maintaining a clean and organized kitchen and dining space.
Key Responsibilities Prepare and cook food according to recipes and production schedules.
Support grill, pantry, hotline, and cold food production operations.
Follow all food safety, sanitation, and HACCP procedures.
Maintain menu rotations and assist with meal preparation planning.
Ensure food quality, presentation, and proper portion control.
Produce box lunches and support hospitality and catering functions as needed.
Safely operate and clean commercial kitchen equipment.
Monitor food inventory and minimize waste to control costs.
Maintain cleanliness throughout kitchen and dining areas.
Provide excellent customer service and address guest inquiries professionally.
Assist team members in various kitchen functions as needed.
Participate in daily production meetings and communicate effectively with leadership.
Qualifications High School Diploma or GED required.
ServSafe Certification preferred or willingness to obtain.
Minimum of 3 years of line cook experience in a high-volume or quantity food production environment preferred.
Experience working with allergens and preventing cross-contact.
Ability to read and follow recipes accurately.
Knowledge of food safety, sanitation practices, and OSHA guidelines.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Dependable, organized, and detail-oriented.
Physical Requirements Ability to work in hot and cold kitchen environments.
Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and reaching.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with assistance when required.
Ability to work weekends and holidays as needed.
Exposure to commercial kitchen equipment and cleaning chemicals.
