Job description

Supervisor, Line MaintenanceBreeze is hiring- join us! The Supervisor, Line Maintenance is responsible to supervise line/hangar maintenance activities with the authority to assign work functions to Aircraft Maintenance Technicians (AMT's). The Supervisor is accountable for all maintenance related activities assigned to his/her area while ensuring work is performed in accordance with FAA regulations and Company policy and procedures. This position also performs duties of an AMT and reports the Manager, Line Maintenance.Here's what you'll do:Perform all assigned maintenance duties in accordance with the Breeze General Maintenance Manual (GMM)Assign AMT's and related personnel in accordance with requirements contained in work packages or as advised by Maintenance Operations Control (MOC)Coordinate with appropriate departments to accomplish prompt resolution to problems that affect maintenance activityEnsure maintenance is performed in accordance with work assigned by Maintenance Planning and in accordance with Breeze policy and proceduresEnsure maintenance and work activities are performed in compliance with Breeze safety policies and proceduresEnsure MOC is updated and informed of aircraft status related to technical delays and out-of-service (OOS) timeReview all maintenance documentation and Maintenance Information System (MIS) for completeness and accuracy and ensure all delay information is updated as requiredEnsure work turnover is completedVerify and ensure AMT's have received required training to support maintenance-related activitiesEnsure all material and equipment is provided to complete assigned tasksConduct safety briefings as required and maintain a safe and clean work environment with emphasis on preventing Foreign Object Damage (FOD)Authorize overtime, vacation, and training schedulesEnsure direct reporting AMT's comply with the Breeze Team Services Playbook-HandbookOther duties as assignedAchieve performance measures and adhere to established standards in conjunction with Breeze Aviation Group Values of Safety, Kindness, Integrity, Ingenuity and ExcellenceHere's what you need to be successful:Minimum QualificationsMust be at least 18 years of ageHigh school diploma or equivalent educational achievementValid FAA Airframe and Powerplant License (A&P) with no history of infractions and recent experience on commercial aircraft typesMust pass a DOT pre-employment drug testMust pass a TSA required fingerprint-based criminal history records check and a Breeze background check5+ years of aviation maintenance experience maintaining commercial aircraft.Must have a valid driver's licenseMust have a valid passport with no travel restrictionsMust have authorization to work in the US as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986Must be flexible and willing to workdays, nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime if neededMust be willing to travel 20% of the timeMust be willing to work with other departments within the company as neededMust pass a DOT pre-employment drug testMust pass a TSA required fingerprint-based criminal history records check and a Breeze background checkAbility to read, write, speak and understand the English languageMust be able to obtain and maintain a SIDA badge in accordance with TSA requirementsPreferred QualificationsUnderstanding and working knowledge of FAA regulations including FAR part 121 operationsExperience maintaining Embraer E-Jet family aircraft2+ years in a management or a leadership roleFamiliar with an airline Maintenance Information System (MIS) such as TRAXUnderstanding of Safety Management System (SMS) rulesDegree in Aerospace, Aviation Maintenance, or BusinessSkills/TalentsSkills in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)Must be fluent in EnglishExemplifies Breeze's safety culture, values, and missionExcellent oral and written communication skillsExcellent problem-solving skillsAbility to work with individuals and teams at all levels in the organizationPhysical Demands & Working ConditionsFrequently lift, carry, push, or pull items up to 50 pounds, and occasionally up to 75 pounds (with assistance as needed)Climb ladders, work stands, and aircraft structures, and work at elevated heightsWork in confined spaces, awkward positions, and varying weather conditions on the ramp or in the hangarRegularly stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, crawl, and reach for extended periodsFrequent use of hands and arms to operate tools and handle components, requiring manual dexterityAdequate vision to inspect closely and hearing to detect unusual sounds; exposure to noise and fumesPerks of the JobHealth, Vision and DentalHealth Savings Account with Breeze Employee Match401K with Breeze Employee MatchGenerous PTOTravel on Breeze and other Airlines too!Breeze Airways provides equal employment opportunities to all Team Members and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state, or local laws.
