Line OperatorJoin our team as a Line Operator and play a vital role in keeping our production line running smoothly and efficiently. As a key member of our operations, you will use your mechanical expertise to perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot equipment issues, and carry out essential repairs that minimize downtime and maximize productivity. If you have a strong mechanical background, a safety-first mindset, and a passion for problem-solving, we invite you to apply and help support our commitment to quality and operational excellence.Exact pay will be based on the applicants skills and experience, plus $2.00 per hour shift premium.2nd shift M-F 2:30pm-11pm3rd shift S-TH 10:30pm-7amThe Line Operator is responsible for preventive maintenance, setup of equipment, diagnosing and troubleshooting equipment issues during production, and conducting repairs to minimize downtime and maximize productivity. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical background, excellent problem-solving skills, a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards and a safety-first mindset. Duties/Responsibilities :Perform routine maintenance tasks on production equipment, including aerosol filling machines, conveyors, mixers, and packaging systems.Conduct preventive maintenance inspections, lubrications, and adjustments according to established schedules to minimize equipment breakdowns and maintain optimal performance.Diagnose equipment malfunctions, identify the root cause of problems, and perform necessary repairs or replacements of faulty components.Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns or malfunctions, troubleshoot the issues, and implement effective solutions to minimize downtime.Utilize a variety of tools, diagnostic equipment, and techniques to ensure accurate diagnosis and repair of equipment issues.Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including equipment maintenance logs, repair reports, and parts inventory.Collaborate with production and quality control teams to address equipment-related issues and implement improvements to enhance operational efficiency.Adhere to all safety guidelines and regulations while performing maintenance tasks to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.Assist in the installation and commissioning of new equipment, ensuring proper integration and functionality within the production line.Stay up-to-date with industry advancements and technological developments in aerosol manufacturing equipment to provide recommendations for process improvements and equipment upgrades.Other duties as assigned.Required Skills/Abilities:Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems commonly used in aerosol manufacturing equipment.Proficient in diagnosing and troubleshooting equipment issues and performing repairs using various hand and power tools.Familiarity with preventive maintenance practices, including lubrication, adjustment, and inspection techniques.Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure to resolve equipment-related issues quickly.Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and provide clear instructions or recommendations.Physical stamina and dexterity to perform manual labor and lift heavy objects when required.Education and Experience:High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in industrial maintenance or a related field is preferred.Proven experience as a maintenance technician in a manufacturing or industrial setting.Physical/Safety Requirements:95% standing, bending and walkingAbility to lift up to 50 lbs.Hearing and eye protection required in production areasSafety toe shoes requiredUniforms providedIKI provides a comprehensive benefit package for this position that includes the following:Prescription safety glassesUniforms providedSafety shoe reimbursementHealth Insurance, eligible the first of the month after hire dateFSA or HSA optionsDental InsuranceVision InsuranceShort and Long-Term Disability InsuranceLife InsuranceAccident, Critical Illness and Hospital Indemnity Insurances401(k) with matchingPTO accrual upon hireHoliday Pay upon hireReferral bonus program
