Job Overview
A law firm seeks an experienced Litigation Associate in Karnes City, Texas. The successful candidate will manage complex civil litigation matters, represent clients in state and federal courts, and provide legal counsel on diverse litigation issues. Experience with probate, fiduciary, and/or real estate litigation is advantageous but not required.
Duties
Manage a caseload of litigation matters from inception through resolution.
Draft and file pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and other legal documents.
Prepare for and attend hearings, depositions, arbitrations, and trials.
Conduct legal research on complex legal issues, statutes, and case law.
Communicate regularly with clients to provide updates and discuss strategy.
Oversee the discovery process, including document production and witness preparation.
Assist in settlement negotiations and alternative dispute resolution processes.
Assist in trial preparation and provide trial support as needed.
Requirements
Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
Active license to practice law and in good standing in Texas.
2-7+ years of civil law experience, preferably in a law firm or in-house environment.
Strong litigation and negotiation skills.
Excellent analytical, communication, and client counseling abilities.
Proven ability to manage multiple complex matters simultaneously.
Education
Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
Certifications
Active license to practice law in Texas.
Skills
Strong analytical and communication skills.
Proficiency in managing complex litigation matters.
Ability to develop and maintain strong client relationships.
