Legal Secretary OpportunityA well-established and growing plaintiff-side law firm is seeking a Legal Secretary to join their team in Sacramento, California. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced legal secretary who thrives in a fast-paced litigation environment and wants to play an integral role in helping attorneys prepare complex personal injury cases for trial while building a long-term career with a collaborative team.What You'll Do as the Legal Secretary:Serve as the primary administrative support for attorneys handling plaintiff-side personal injury litigationManage a high-volume litigation calendar using case management softwareCoordinate court deadlines, hearings, depositions, mediations, and trial schedulesDraft and prepare pleadings, notices, subpoenas, discovery, correspondence, and other legal documentsFile documents in California state and federal courtsCoordinate with clients, opposing counsel, experts, medical providers, and process serversSchedule expert witnesses, depositions, and trial-related activitiesReview incoming correspondence and ensure all deadlines are calendared and communicated appropriatelyMaintain both electronic and physical case filesSupport attorneys through all phases of litigation, including trial preparationHelp ensure cases move efficiently while delivering outstanding client serviceMust-Haves as the Legal Secretary:Recent law firm experience within the past two yearsExperience supporting plaintiff or defense litigation mattersStrong case management software experience (CasePeer experience is highly preferred)Excellent calendaring and deadline management skillsComfortable handling frequent client communication by phone, email, and textExperience drafting litigation documents and coordinating court filingsStrong understanding of California court procedures and filing deadlinesExceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple prioritiesProfessional communication skills and a positive, team-first attitudeAbility to work full-time onsite in Sacramento, CaliforniaThis Role Offers:Base salary up to $90,000, with flexibility for the right candidateOpportunity to earn performance-based case bonusesDedicated private officeComprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage401(k) with a 3% employer matchTwo weeks of paid time off, with additional flexibility earned over timeStable Monday through Friday schedule (8:30 AM - 5:00 PM)Fun, collaborative office culture with regular team events and celebrationsFirm-sponsored outings and annual team tripsLong-term career growth, including support for paralegal education or law school for employees interested in advancing their careersOpportunity to work on significant, high-value personal injury cases that regularly proceed to trial
