Job description

Litigation Paralegal

Temporary-to-Permanent Opportunity

Location: Trumbull, CT

Schedule: Onsite during temporary assignment

Compensation:

$34–$44/hour

Start: ASAP

Plona Partners is working with a sophisticated litigation-focused law firm seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal to join its Connecticut office immediately. This is a hands-on opportunity for a paralegal who knows litigation from the inside out — court filings, deadlines, discovery, e-discovery, case management and supporting multiple attorneys across active matters. The position will begin as a temporary assignment with the potential to convert into a permanent role.

What we're looking for:

• 5+ years of substantive litigation paralegal experience

• Strong complex civil or commercial litigation background

• Connecticut and New York litigation experience strongly preferred

• Federal court experience, including CM/ECF

• Experience managing court calendars, deadlines and filing requirements

• Hands-on discovery and e-discovery experience

• Experience preparing pleadings, subpoenas and discovery materials

• Ability to research and navigate court rules across multiple jurisdictions

• Experience supporting multiple attorneys and active matters simultaneously

• Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently

• Bachelor's degree or paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved program

Experience with insurance coverage, insurance recovery, complex commercial litigation or similarly sophisticated civil litigation would be particularly relevant.

Technology exposure may include:

• Everlaw

• NetDocuments

• Westlaw

• Federal CM/ECF

• State and federal e-filing systems

For the right person, this is an opportunity to step directly into an active litigation practice, take ownership of substantive work and potentially develop into a long-term position.
