Little Falls Hospital Is Hiring a Part-Time Laboratory Support TechnicianThe Laboratory Support Technician will work Per Diem Various Shift & Weekends, 7AM - 3:30PM or 3PM - 11PM and will perform prompt, courteous, diagnostic and support services.The Laboratory Support Technician performs routine/urgent/STAT phlebotomy, electrocardiograms (EKG), and limited testing, verifying patients identity and labeling specimens and entry of proper patient information into the EKG machine following established protocols with 1 exception per year as measured by physician feedback, Cardiology Department review and managerial observation.Routinely performs EKG and/or collects specimens that are of high-quality including blood culture specimens that have a contamination rate of <3%, collects the appropriate specimen(s) for the test(s) ordered, generating collections labels for inpatient draws to assure on time collection, 95 - 98% of the time as measured by supervisory review.Education: High School diploma OR equivalent is requiredExperience/Qualifications: Two years of pertinent experience is preferredLicensure/Certificates: None.Our commitment to our employees includes benefit programs that are designed to meet the various needs across our employee population.Anticipated Start Date: ImmediatelyWork Hours: Per Diem Various Shift & Weekends, 7AM - 3:30PM or 3PM - 11PMNormal work days: Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, SaturdayOvertime?
