Job description
Special Note: This is a temporary position of up to 12 weeks based on business and operational needs
To provide courteous and efficient pick-up and delivery of packages on an assigned route; to provide related customer service functions
Provides efficient and safe delivery and pick-up of packages while representing the company in a professional manner and maintains a neat and clean appearance consistent with the companys public image
Accomplishes accurate and timely selection and inspection of assigned packages and the subsequent reporting of stop counts and missorts
Adheres to Courier Best Practices, operating procedures, loads van and plans route for efficient delivery and pick-up of packages and ensures proper security of Federal Express and customer property, such as packages, equipment and vehicles.
Seeks additional business from current customers. Ensures that packages conform to Federal Express Canada features of service, that proper labelling is provided, and that all paperwork is neat, accurate and ensures customers have adequate supply of Federal Express shipping materials.
Answers customers questions on Federal Express Canadas features of service and continually keeps customers informed about the company and its services as well as Canada, US and International requirements.
Demonstrates proficiency in features of service and equipment.
May perform aircraft and/or container loading/unloading and sorting and scanning of packages, as location and workload dictate.
High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
None – No experience required
Customer Service – 1 year (preferred)

The incumbent of this position is expected to perform all other duties as assigned, must be able to complete and achieve minimum thresholds on any mandatory testing and training, must be able to operate in an PC windows environment, have the ability to successfully complete all recurrence training and maintain annual accreditations where applicable and work varying shifts based on business needs. If the incumbent resides in the province of Quebec, you must be bilingual (French and English). In addition to the usual factors used in the selection process, all candidates for positions that require driving as a core competency require a valid drivers license (e.g. Class 5,G, or 1(AZ)) and a driving record with two or fewer violations and/or accidents in the 24 months prior to the date of application. 2) their performance during application interviews; and 3) their performance on any driver competency assessments administered
