LNA RFIC Co-Op (Winter/Spring 2027)If you are a motivated student with skills and interest in radio frequency integrated circuit design (RFIC), Skyworks Greensboro Design Center is looking for you! As a home to an elite team of RF professionals you will work side by side with a mentor and grow your skills working on real products that will end up in the next generation of cellular phones. Your job function will include but not be limited to designing low noise amplifiers (LNA), AI/ML circuit design, matching networks, setting up and running simulation test benches, EM tools, and analyzing lab data.Responsibilities:Setting up and debugging simulation test benchesSetting up and debugging LNA model with EM toolsRunning verification on completed LNA designsDesign Low Noise Amplifier (LNA), RF Switches, Matching NetworksUsing AI/ML for circuit design, simulation and automationCompile results in slides and present to engineering teamA positive, can-do attitude is required. Must have the ability to complete Co-op term prior to graduation. Required experience and skills include:Available to work onsite January - June 2027Must be currently enrolled in an Electrical Engineering BS, MS or PhD programStrong background in RFIC design (Smith Chart, Impedance Matching)Knowledge in RF parameters (insertion loss, return loss, harmonics, IMD, IIP3, VSWR, NF, power gain)Good communication and presentation skillsExperience with Microsoft Office tools, and CadenceDesired experience and skills include:EM tool, low noise amplifier and layout design experienceExperience in using AI/ML tools for automationThe typical pay range for an Engineering intern across the U.S. is currently USD $26.00 - $47.50 per hour and for a Non-Engineering intern across the U.S. is currently USD $22.50 - $42.00 per hour.
