Loader/Asphalt Equipment Operator & Plant MaintenanceArcosa Aggregates is seeking a dependable and safety-focused Loader/Asphalt Equipment Operator & Plant Maintenance team member for our Bound Brook, NJ Asphalt. Saturday availability is required during the production season. This position plays a critical role in daily asphalt operations by safely operating heavy equipment—primarily loaders—as well as performing routine and preventative plant maintenance to ensure continuous, efficient production.Day to Day:Actively promote safety awareness and continuous improvement through positive recognitionOperate asphalt equipmentPerform daily maintenance on the plant.Comply with all industry safety rules, procedures and applicable government regulations.Perform daily pre-shift equipment and workplace inspections to maintain equipment performanceMaintain strong communications with other plant employees and operatorsPerform other duties or responsibilities as assignedAbout You:3-5 Years experience preferredExperience with Loader SIZE 980.Current MSHA Training a plus but not required.Prompt, regular, and predictable attendancePositive, Team-based attitudeThe ability to stand, stoop, bend, lift, walk, climb stairs, ladders and catwalks up to 60 feet as required.Ability to lift 25-50 lbs. on occasion.The ability to work in varied outdoor environments (cold, hot, dry, dusty, rainy)Ability to Operate Heavy Equipment SafelyUnderstand and carry out oral & written instructionsAbility to keep accurate daily record.Knowledge of plant maintenance and construction materialsGood Mental concentration and judgementAbility to work independently with minimal supervisionWorking Conditions and Physical Environment:While most equipment has air conditioning, there will be times when other responsibilities may require periods of work in all weather conditions including heat, cold, wet, dry, and dusty.Compensation:$22.64 - $26.52 per hourBenefits:Medical, Dental, and Vision InsurancePaid vacation and sick time401K with Employer Match11 paid Company holidaysLife InsuranceShort-Term and Long-Term Disability InsuranceTuition reimbursementHealth & Wellness ProgramsFlexible Spending AccountsEmployee Discount ProgramsProfessional Training and Development ProgramsCareer Advancement Opportunities – We like to promote from within!The above statements describe the general nature and responsibilities of the position.
