Loan Assistant/Loan Coordination SpecialistJoin Blue Sky Bank's team as a Loan Assistant/Loan Coordination Specialist! Coordinate loan closings. Support lenders and borrowers. Manage documentation. Deliver exceptional service.As a Loan Assistant/Loan Coordination Specialist, you will play a key role in facilitating consumer and commercial loan closings and servicing activities by working closely with Bankers/Lenders, borrowers, and the Loan Operations Team. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple loan files while ensuring documentation, compliance requirements, and customer needs are handled accurately and efficiently. Additional benefits include a Health Savings Account (HSA), Flexible Spending Account (FSA), Dependent Care FSA, voluntary accident and critical illness coverage, and 100% employer-paid short-term disability, long-term disability, and group life/AD&D insurance, as well as optional voluntary life/AD&D coverage.Customer Impact – Play an important role in helping customers achieve their financial goals through efficient loan processing and exceptional service.Professional Development – Expand your knowledge of consumer and commercial lending, loan documentation, and banking operations.Team Environment – Be part of a collaborative, supportive workplace culture focused on customer success and employee growth.What You'll DoServe as the primary contact for customer loan inquiries and closingsProcess consumer and commercial loan applicationsEnter borrower, guarantor, and signer information into lending systemsComplete CIP and Red Flag requirementsCoordinate loan closings, including ordering credit reports, flood certifications, title work, appraisals, and loan documentsCollect loan fees and prepare loan packages for funding and closingPerform UCC searches and track recordable documentsAssist customers with loan payments, advances, and account inquiriesMonitor loan exceptions and obtain updated documentation from borrowers and lendersReview reports for past due, coming due, overdraft, and other exceptionsAssist with audits, title search tracking, and loan documentation managementServe as a liaison between Bankers/Lenders and the Loan Operations TeamBuild strong customer relationships and identify referral opportunitiesRecognize fraud, scams, phishing attempts, and suspicious activityMaintain compliance with banking regulations, policies, and security proceduresTravel between branch locations as neededPerform other duties as assignedRequirementsRequired QualificationsEducation: High School Diploma or GEDExperience: 3-5 years of banking experience, including customer service and cash handling experienceValid driver's license, proof of insurance, acceptable motor vehicle record, and reliable transportationHigh level of professionalism, integrity, and sound judgmentStrong communication, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlinesStrong attention to detail and follow-throughAbility to work independently and collaboratively in a team environmentProficiency with multiple computer systems and software applicationsFlexible, adaptable, and committed to continuous learningPreferred QualificationsAssociate degreeBachelor's degree5+ years of banking experiencePrevious experience with consumer and commercial loan processing, documentation, or loan servicingExperience coordinating loan closings and working with lending and loan operations teams
