Loan Closing Specialist
Cranford, NJ · Full-time, on-site · Mon–Fri, 9am–5pm · $60,000–$100,000 + annual bonus

About Unitas Funding
Unitas Funding is a direct lender for real estate investors nationwide, providing short-term financing for 1–4 family and multi-family acquisitions, ground-up construction, and development projects.
The Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented Closing Specialist to manage our loan closing process from start to finish. The Closing Specialist works closely with originators, underwriters, borrowers, and title companies to ensure loans close accurately and on schedule, and maintains complete documentation through post-closing.
Prior lending experience is not required. We provide comprehensive training and welcome candidates with backgrounds in title, legal, real estate, banking, or other detail-intensive fields.
Responsibilities
Loan closing: Review title commitments and legal documents, including notes, mortgages/deeds of trust, and title policies, for accuracy and compliance. Confirm required insurance coverage is in place and prepare funding memos in coordination with accounting.
Quality control: Review each closing package prior to finalization, and organize and file post-closing documents in accordance with company standards.
Post-closing tracking: Monitor files after closing to confirm county recording, title policy issuance, and resolution of outstanding items.
Loan administration: Manage servicer onboarding, order payoffs, coordinate lien releases, and resolve post-closing issues as they arise.
Qualifications
Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple files simultaneously
Clear, professional communication with internal teams and external parties
Experience in loan closing, title, paralegal, or real estate work is preferred but not required
Compensation & Benefits
Base salary of $60,000–$100,000, commensurate with experience, plus annual bonus potential
