We are currently seeking candidates to join our exceptional team for the following position:

Job Title: Loan Servicer Location: Main Office

Salary Range: $19.77 To $26.01 Compensation for this position is commensurate with experience. The posted range is intended to provide a general estimate and does not guarantee a specific rate of pay.

Position Summary: Performs a broad variety of duties related to the servicing and maintaining of residential and consumer loans throughout the life cycle of the loans, working within compliance and regulatory requirements. Provide quality customer service while adhering to Bank policies and procedures.

Essential Functions:

Consistently provides superior professional service to internal and external customers.

Consistently meets expectations of teamwork, punctuality and regular, reliable attendance.

Responds to customer inquiries or other areas of the bank relative to questions, concerns or problems, while ensuring that customers are properly serviced and issues are resolved promptly. Researches or verifies customer accounts through computer or paper means to facilitate the resolution of issues; corrects errors.

Inputs, processes and verifies mortgage; home equity; and consumer loans; sets up appropriate computer files; files loan documentation in existing files; distributes funds for approved loans; performs necessary maintenance on existing loans.

Notes missing or inaccurate loan documentation; brings to the attention of Origination staff; monitors and follows up on incomplete, inaccurate, or other loan documentation.

Monitors the uplink of loan data. Advises management team of errors or issues.

Maintains accurate records and accounting on all incoming collateral or deeds; follows up with attorneys and/or Registries of Deeds for missing deeds. Verifies the value of collateral held as security for loan; contacts the customers or Registries of Motor Vehicles with questions or concerns with automobile titles; researches and resolves problem title situations.

Processes, balances and pays real estate taxes; monitors loan accounts for tax discrepancies and researches problems; contacts customers, tax service and/or city and town collectors or assessors to facilitate resolution. Conducts and reviews annual escrow analysis according to regulation, refunds all surpluses to borrowers and assists customers with questions and explanations.

Completes required payoff reports; remittance reports and delinquent reports for the loans sold to the Secondary Market; monitors daily report for investor unapplied payments and processes payments accordingly. Transmits data and remits funds to the investor.

Scans and indexes loan files and/or loan documentation to the imaging system.

Monitors and ensures the accuracy of rate reviews for variable rate loans and performs corrections, if applicable; changes index values as required.

Calculates and quotes loan payoff figures to customers, attorneys or branch personnel; releases appropriate collateral (UCC's; mortgages; titles; etc,) on paid loans; prepares and releases discharges, and completes all other payoff procedures.

Tracks loan-to-value on PMI loans, releasing coverage under management approval to established guidelines and regulation; notifies customers.

Monitors loan accounts to ensure adequate vehicle, hazard, flood insurance; follows up with customers and/or insurance agencies, as required, for policy cancellations and reinstatements. Pays applicable insurance premiums for hazard, flood and PMI.

Monitors and manually processes all rejected items relative to online banking transactions.

Reviews and acts on systems reports including, but not limited to, payoffs, auto loan payments, late charge maintenance, future maturities and exception transactions. Contacts customer if necessary.

Balances department's transactions on a rotating basis.

Other Responsibilities: Assumes additional responsibilities, as requested.

Education, Experience, and Skills Required:

High school diploma or equivalent.

One (1) year banking experience preferred.

Demonstrated ability to read and interpret documents, including, but not limited to, loan applications, commercial loan documents, computer screens related to loans and procedure manuals.

Strong customer service skills, verbal skills and written communication skills.

Ability to calculate figures and amounts, including, but not limited to, interest, payments, fees and percentages.

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Prior PC knowledge.

Physical Demands/Conditions Requirements:

General office environment.

Frequent use of computer.

Sits for an extended period of time.

Equipment Used:

General office equipment.

All employees handling customer accounts and transactions have a duty to report apparent suspicious activity and OFAC matches to the BSA Officer and the Security Officer.
