Loan Servicing Specialist
Express Employment Professionals is recruiting a Loan Servicing Specialist for a trusted local financial institution. This role is responsible for managing and maintaining loan files throughout the entire loan lifecycle, from origination through payoff.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to accuracy, confidentiality, and exceptional customer service while supporting both Loan Servicing and Loan Processing functions.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain and service loan files, ensuring accuracy and compliance
Pay taxes and insurance on escrowed loans; monitor non-escrowed loans
Perfect liens on collateral and follow up on required documentation (deeds, UCCs, etc.)
Review tickler reports and track items coming due
Process loan payoffs, consumer loans, credit card guarantees, and SBA payments
Disburse construction loan draws and commercial line of credit advances
Maintain loans within the core banking system
Process participation agreements with other financial institutions
Complete monthly note audits
Handle paid loan processing, including collateral release and customer correspondence
Scan and maintain loan documentation; perform quality control checks
Respond to customer inquiries and provide outstanding service
Cross-sell banking products and services as appropriate
Provide administrative support to Loan Processing and Loan Department staff
Qualifications
Prior experience in loan servicing, loan support, or loan processing preferred
Previous banking experience helpful
Minimum of 1 year clerical/administrative experience required
Must be bondable
Strong computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, email, internet use)
High attention to detail with strong organizational skills
Ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines
Self-directed with the ability to work independently
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to maintain strict confidentiality
