Job DescriptionJob DescriptionWe are seeking a Local 1099 CDL Truck Driver to transport general freight using a day cab and trailer. Reporting to the Transportation Manager, this role makes multiple local store deliveries each workday and unloads cargo with an electric pallet jack while maintaining safe, compliant, and efficient delivery operations.
Responsibilities
This is a 1099 position
Deliver general freight to multiple local grocery stores.
Operate a day cab and trailer safely and efficiently.
Unload cargo using an electric pallet jack.
Conduct vehicle inspections, including pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
Plan routes to support timely deliveries.
Maintain compliance with hours-of-service regulations and DOT requirements.
Complete electronic logging device records and safety reports.
Required Qualifications
Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License.
At least 2 years of commercial truck driving experience.
Clean MVR with no moving violations in the last 3 years
Preferred Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
Knowledge of hours-of-service regulations and DOT compliance.
Experience performing pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
Experience using electronic logging devices.
Strong time-management skills.
