Job DescriptionJob DescriptionWe are seeking a reliable local freight driver to complete scheduled pickups and deliveries throughout Southern California using your own 15ft to 24ft box truck. This on-call role requires operating palletized freight loads dispatched through a third-party freight platform. Drivers must manage their own routes, communicate actively via mobile app messaging, and provide professional service at customer and warehouse locations.
Responsibilities
Complete local freight pickups and deliveries using a box truck
Inspect and photograph freight before loading
Verify pallet and piece counts and secure freight during transport
Maintain communication with dispatch through mobile app messaging
Upload pickup and delivery documentation with clear signatures
Report delays, damage, or shipment discrepancies immediately
Plan routes and manage timing to meet order pickup and delivery windows
Provide professional customer service at warehouses and delivery sites
Preferred Qualifications
3+ years of freight delivery experience
High school diploma or equivalent
Valid driver’s license and commercial-auto insurance
Experience operating box trucks between 15ft and 24ft
Proficiency with liftgate and pallet jack equipment
Strong route planning and time management skills
Effective communication and documentation management
Dependability and professionalism in customer interactions
Order Availability & Route Management :
Drivers accept available pickup and delivery orders through the app based on their availability. Drivers may accept more than one order and are responsible for planning their own routes and managing their timing to meet every accepted order’s pickup and delivery windows. Only accept orders you can complete safely and on time.
Compensation
Drivers are paid weekly for successfully completed delivery assignments.
Weekly payout every Friday
Compensation is based on completed delivery assignments
Delivery opportunities vary based on customer demand and availability
Drivers may accept available assignments that fit their schedule
No guaranteed number of deliveries or weekly hours
Driver must provide their own qualifying vehicle and maintain required insurance
