About This Role
The Registered Nurse in Med Surg/Tele at Northwell Health is responsible for providing comprehensive patient care through assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation. This role is ideal for nurses who excel in collaboration and leadership within a healthcare team.

What You'll Do
Assess the patient’s physiologic health status.
Conduct patient interviews and explain policies and procedures.
Determine mobility, sensory deficits, and skin condition.
Assess level of pain and pain management.
Communicate and document patient’s physiologic health status.
Assess patient’s psychosocial health status.
Develop criteria for measurement of patient outcomes.
Formulate the plan of care and establish priorities.
Implement the plan of care while ensuring safety precautions.
Evaluate care provided for patient outcomes.
Requirements
Education
Associate’s Degree in Nursing required, Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred.
Experience
Minimum 1-2 years of professional nursing experience in the related specialty.
Licenses & Certifications
Current license to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State and/or Connecticut required.
BLS certification required, plus specialized certifications as needed.
