Job description
Cardiothoracic Surgeons — Looking For Flexible Locum Coverage
A high-acuity Level I Trauma opportunity in Hartford with flexible monthly coverage needs, strong APP support, and exposure to ECMO, Impella & IABP cases.
Hartford, CT Start: ASAP after credentialing 6-month assignment 3–10 coverage days/month Inpatient | Level I Trauma Day: 8 AM–5 PM Night Call: 5 PM–7 AM At least 1 weekend/month required Epic EMR
What You'll Cover:
Cardiac surgery pre-op, post-op & critical care management Daily rounding & continuity-of-care decisions Discharges & patient transfers Cath lab backup Cardiac surgery ICU management Nighttime surgical consultations High-acuity mechanical circulatory support cases
Advanced Cases Include:
ECMO Impella IABP Cardiac surgery ICU patients Complex inpatient surgical care

Requirements:
