Additional Information
We are seeking a Board-Certified Cardiothoracic Surgeon for an upcoming locum tenens assignment in Kentucky. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-supported cardiac surgery program with dedicated cardiac anesthesia, first assist support, and access to a hybrid operating room.
Assignment Highlights
Biard Certified
24-hour call coverage (7a-7a)
Specific dates: 12/24-1/4/2027
4-7 shifts available per month
REquired procedures
EPIC EMR
Clinical Requirements
Adult Cardiac Surgery
Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting (CABG)
Valve Repair and Replacement Procedures
ICU Management of High-Risk Cardiac Patients
Impella Support Experience
Structural Heart Procedure Coverage
Thoracic surgery experience is a plus but not required
Qualifications
Board Certified Cardiothoracic Surgeon
Active BLS Certification
Clean Background History
Kentucky License Preferred (providers willing to obtain licensure encouraged to apply)

Coverage is needed for:
December 24-28, 2026
December 28, 2026 through January 4, 2027
Additional Details
Approximate credentialing timeframe: 90 days
