Job Opportunity: Locum Nurse Practitioner - Critical Care in Suffolk, VA

The facility is seeking a locum Nurse Practitioner with critical care experience to support their inpatient services during a transitional period as they bring on new providers. This role presents an excellent opportunity for healthcare professionals looking to work in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.
Job Responsibilities:
Vent management with assistance from respiratory therapists.
Monitoring of critical care patients and assisting with decompensation cases overnight.
Admitting new critical care patients from the emergency department, hospital floors, and nearby facilities.
Performing procedures such as central line placements, arterial lines, and dialysis catheter insertions.
Updating families and discussing goals of care with the medical team when patients decompensate.
Qualifications:
Board Certified Nurse Practitioner (NP) - (REQUIRED)
Active Virginia license and DEA - (REQUIRED)
BLS and ACLS certified - (REQUIRED)
Must be available to cover specified shifts each month - (REQUIRED)
Demonstrated critical care experience - (REQUIRED)
Clean background necessary for temporary privileges - (REQUIRED)
License and Certification Requirements:
Board Certified NP
Active Virginia Nursing License
DEA Certification
BLS and ACLS Certifications
