Position Highlights Position: Dentist (DDS/DMD) ()
Location: Gouverneur, NY
Start Date: ASAP Upon Credentialing
Duration: 26-week assignment with potential extensions up to 2 years
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:00 PMPotential 4x10 schedule option available, pending facility approval
Weekly Hours: 40 hours
Call Requirement: None
Requirements DDS or DMD degree
Active New York dental license in good standing
DEA registration
BLS certification
At least 1 year of dentist experience preferred
Practice Setting This position is within a correctional healthcare setting, providing comprehensive dental services to an incarcerated patient population. Daily patient volume is approximately 6-9 patients per day .
Responsibilities include:
Providing routine and urgent dental care
Developing treatment plans
Supervising professional and paraprofessional dental staff
Coordinating care with other clinical disciplines
Maintaining accurate dental records and documentation
Assisting with dental program operations, policies, and quality initiatives
Interview Process Virtual Teams interview with the Deputy Director

Background Clearance Requirements Candidates must successfully complete:
State and Federal Criminal Background Checks
Fingerprinting
New York Statewide Central Register (SCR) screening
Staff Exclusion List (SEL) screening
