Job description
Job Title: Locum - Physician - Hematology Oncology
Join an innovative outpatient clinic in Pontiac, Michigan, where you can make a significant impact in the field of Hematology and Oncology. This facility offers a vibrant practice setting with a dedicated support team, including RNs, Medical Assistants, and specialists. The clinic operates from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, providing excellent care to patients while you fill an important recruitment gap.
Job Responsibilities:
Provide outpatient clinic coverage on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
Participate in clinic call as needed.
Manage an average of 15-20 outpatient clinic patients daily.
Perform Hematology and Oncology outpatient care.
Participate in tumor board meetings.
Collaborate with support staff, including Oncology RNs, Social Workers, and Nurse Navigators.
Utilize the Cerner EMR system for patient documentation.
Qualifications:
Board Certified in Medical Oncology and Hematology.
Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
Experience in adult outpatient care.
Familiarity with Cerner EMR preferred.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Licenses and Certifications Required:
Active Michigan medical license (required; IMLC not accepted).
BLS/ACLS certification (required).
Copy of NPDB self-query (to be presented within 30 days).
