Job description
Med Ninjas is seeking a Hospitalist Physician for short term locum tenens coverage at an inpatient facility located in Cottonwood, Arizona.
The Physician must be available for the complete coverage block from 10/18/2026 to 11/29/2026.
This assignment includes inpatient hospital coverage, hospital admissions, rounding and cross-coverage, an average daily census of 40–50 patients, and scheduled shifts with on-call coverage.
Locum Tenens Hospitalist Physician
Shift: Rounding 6:30 AM–6:30 PM; Admit shifts 8:00 AM–8:00 PM Start Date: 10/18/2026 End Date: 11/29/2026
Position Details:
Patient Population: Adult hospital patients
Setting: Acute Care Hospital
Responsibilities: Hospital admissions, rounding, cross-covering approximately 40–50 patients, and responding to codes involving the physician's patients
Required Procedures: No procedures required
EMR System: Cerner
Support Staff: Internal medicine residents, rapid response team, intensivist, anesthesia, surgery, and IR support
Days Per Month: Varies based on coverage needs
On-Call/Weekends: Scheduled + on-call coverage required

Requirements
BC or BE in Internal Medicine or Family Practice
Active Arizona license or IMLC accepted
DEA required
BLS certification required
Minimum 2 years of experience
