As a Critical Care physician, you will play a vital role in managing patients with severe and life-threatening conditions. Responsibilities
Provide critical care for patients in a hospital setting
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop comprehensive treatment plans
Perform emergency procedures as necessary
Monitor and assess patient conditions continuously
Provide patient and family education on complex medical situations
Document patient care and maintain accurate medical records
Participate in quality improvement initiatives within the critical care unit
Stay updated on the latest research and advancements in critical care medicine
Requirements
MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
Board certification in Critical Care Medicine or equivalent
Experience in a critical care setting preferred
Strong clinical decision-making skills
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to work effectively as part of a team
Valid medical license in the state of Missouri
Strong attention to detail and patient safety awareness
Schedule: 7a-7p and 7p-7a
Patient Volume: 18-20 per day
Setting: MICU and SICU
Common critical care procedures required
Support Staff: Physicians, nurses, techs, etc.
EMR: MediTech
Must be board-certified
Additional Certifications: ACLS and DEA
No call requirement
Paid travel & expenses
