This contract position offers an excellent opportunity to provide high-quality patient care in a thriving medical practice environment.
As a Locum Gastroenterologist, you will diagnose and treat gastrointestinal disorders while collaborating closely with a team of healthcare professionals. Your expertise is essential for enhancing the health and well‑being of our patients through comprehensive care and innovative medical practices.
Responsibilities
Conduct detailed patient assessments and medical histories
Diagnose and manage gastrointestinal disorders
Perform endoscopic procedures as needed
Collaborate with other healthcare providers in a multidisciplinary team
Educate patients and their families about treatment options and preventative care
Maintain accurate medical records and documentation
Participate in case reviews and continuing medical education activities
Provide on‑call support and cover for absences as required
Requirements
MD or DO from an accredited medical school
Completion of residency in Gastroenterology
Current state medical license and board certification in Gastroenterology
Excellent clinical judgment and decision‑making skills
Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment
Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems
Commitment to patient care and continuous improvement in practice
Schedule: Monday‑Friday, 7:30a‑3p
No call requirement
Setting: Inpatient & outpatient
Case Types: Bread and butter & ERCP
EMR: Epic
Must be board-certified or board-eligible
Paid travel & expenses
