This contract position is on-site and offers an excellent opportunity to provide high-quality medical care in a fast-paced emergency department environment.
As a Locum MD, you will be responsible for assessing and treating patients in emergency situations, collaborating with a team of healthcare professionals to ensure the best patient outcomes. Your expertise will directly contribute to our mission of delivering exceptional medical services to the community.
Responsibilities
Provide immediate medical care to patients in emergency situations
Conduct thorough assessments and develop treatment plans
Collaborate with nursing staff and other physicians
Perform necessary medical procedures and interventions
Ensure accurate documentation of patient care and treatment
Adhere to established protocols and guidelines for patient care
Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to quality improvement initiatives
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of medical practices and advancements in emergency medicine
Requirements
Medical degree (MD) from an accredited institution
Active medical license in the state of practice
Experience in emergency medicine preferred
Strong clinical skills and ability to work under pressure
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
Commitment to patient-centered care and safety
Current certification in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS)
Schedule: 12-hour day shifts, 7a-7p
Annual Volume: 15k patients
EMR: Epic
Board certification required
Paid travel & expenses
