Description
This is a contract, on-site position offering an excellent opportunity for an Associate-level physician to provide high-quality patient care in a collaborative clinical environment.
As a Locum Hematology Oncology MD, you will diagnose, treat, and manage patients with blood disorders and various types of cancer. You will work alongside a dedicated team of healthcare professionals, contributing to patient-centered treatment plans and delivering compassionate, evidence-based care within the medical practice setting.
Responsibilities
Diagnose and treat patients with hematologic and oncologic conditions
Develop and manage individualized treatment plans
Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including blood work and imaging
Administer and monitor chemotherapy and other treatment regimens
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care
Maintain accurate and timely patient medical records
Provide patient education regarding diagnosis and treatment options
Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
Participate in clinical rounds and case discussions
Ensure compliance with medical practice standards and regulations
Requirements
Medical degree (MD) from an accredited institution
Associate-level experience in Hematology Oncology
Valid medical license to practice in the relevant jurisdiction
Board certification or eligibility in Hematology Oncology
Strong clinical diagnostic and treatment skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team
Commitment to delivering compassionate, patient-centered care
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to adapt to a locum, on-site clinical environment
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8-hour shifts
Setting: Outpatient
No call requirement
Daily Volume: 20 patients
Case Mix: 30% hematology, 70% oncology
Required Procedures: Bone marrow biopsies
Support Staff: NPs, MSAs, RNs, AIC RNs, infusion coordinators, RN coordinators, and research study coordinators
EMR: CPRS
Must be board-certified or board-eligible
ACLS and DEA required
Paid travel & expenses
