This on-site contract position offers a unique opportunity to provide essential medical care in a supportive hospital environment, playing a critical role in patient management and well-being.
As a Locum NP/PA, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care, collaborating with physicians, and working to optimize patient outcomes within our medical practice. This role is pivotal in ensuring seamless healthcare delivery while enriching your experience in a fast-paced setting.
Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans
Administer treatments and medications as prescribed
Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure continuity of care
Document patient interactions and treatment plans in electronic health records
Educate patients and their families regarding health conditions and treatments
Participate in discharge planning and follow-up care initiatives
Assist in the management of patient flow and hospital protocols
Stay current with medical guidelines and best practices
Requirements
Active Nurse Practitioner or Physician's Assistant license
Associate degree in Nursing, Health Sciences, or related field
Experience in a hospitalist or acute care setting
Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills
Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities
Ability to work effectively under pressure in a dynamic healthcare environment
Knowledge of electronic health records (EHR) systems
Commitment to providing compassionate patient care
Schedule and Clinical Details
Schedule: 6a-3p, 3- to 5- day blocks
No call requirement
45 beds
Patient Volume: Rounding on ~10-12 patients per day, ~10 admissions, and ~2 consults
Patient Population: Elderly
Case Types: Low to medium acuity
Must be board-certified
Paid travel & expenses
