This contract position is on-site, providing an excellent opportunity for healthcare professionals who are passionate about delivering quality mental health care to diverse patient populations.
As a Locum NP or PA in Psychiatry, you will play a critical role in assessing, diagnosing, and treating patients with mental health disorders. This position allows you to collaborate with a team of healthcare providers, ensuring comprehensive care and support for our patients. Your expertise will contribute significantly to our mission of improving mental health outcomes in the community.
Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and assessments
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
Prescribe medications and monitor patient responses
Provide psychotherapy and counseling services as needed
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate careDocument patient progress and maintain accurate medical records
Educate patients and families about mental health conditions and treatments
Participate in continuous professional development and training
Requirements
Valid NP or PA licensure in the state of practice
Associate degree or higher in Nursing or Physician Assistant studies
Experience in psychiatric care or mental health settings
Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Ability to work effectively in a team environment
Commitment to providing compassionate patient‑centered care
Knowledge of current mental health practices and regulations
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 40‑hour workweek
No weekends or call required
Setting: Outpatient
Patient Population: All ages
EMR: Epic
Must be board-certified
Paid travel & expenses
