Job description
Practice Setting:
Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Level III
Shift Schedule:
Long-Term Coverage
Full-Time - Seven Days On/Seven Days Off, 12-Hour Shifts (Day or Night)
Required Neonatal Procedures:
Nursery Level III/NICU
Ventilation Management
Invasive (Endotracheal Tube)
Non-Invasive (BiPAP/CPAP)
Chest Tube Insertion
Exchange Transfusions
Placement of Umbilical Arterial Catheter (UAC) and Umbilical Venous Catheter (UVC)
Lumbar Punctures (LP)
Evaluation and Management of Acute Volume and Blood Pressure Issues
Insertion of Central Line
Insertion of Arterial Line
Diagnostic and Therapeutic Taps
Qualifications:
Board Certification in Neonatology and experience as a NICU Physician Assistant is required .
Active New York State License is required .
Candidates must possess experience and demonstrate comfort in managing patients independently, which is required .

Compliance with State License Requirements in New York
