This on-site, contract position offers a unique opportunity to provide high-quality patient care within a dynamic medical practice environment.
As a Locum Nurse Practitioner, you will manage patient care, conduct assessments, and collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Your contributions will impact the quality of care we provide and support the health and wellness of our community.
Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations of patients
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
Collaborate closely with physicians and healthcare staff
Provide education and support to patients and their families
Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary
Document patient interactions and treatment plans in electronic medical records
Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings
Ensure compliance with practice guidelines and policies
Requirements
Active Nurse Practitioner license in the state of New Mexico
Associate degree in Nursing or a related field
Minimal experience in a clinical or hospital setting
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
Compassionate approach to patient care
Familiarity with electronic medical records systems
Flexibility to adapt to changing patient needs and situations
Hospitalist / Internal Medicine – considering MD or APP
Board certification is required
Schedule and Work Details
Schedule: 8a-5p with on-call availability by phone until 8pm
Open to 7 on/7 off in August for weeks of the 3rd and the 17th; potential Wed-Sat schedule in September
EMR: Paper Charting with Dragon software
