Support Staff Available: RNs, MDs, APPs
PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE
Hospital Privileges Required: Yes
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Board: BC in Nurse Practitioner (AANP or ANCC)
Licenses: Active AR NP license, AR DEA/CDS, Prescriptive authority
DEA / CDS: Active Arkansas DEA/CDS required
Certifications: ACLS, PALS, ATLS required
Experience: Prior EM experience required; case logs required
Other Qualifications: 2 years of case logs, CME/CEU documentation, supervising physician assignment, immunization compliance
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide comprehensive emergency medical care to patients presenting to the ED.
Perform emergency procedures as needed (e.g., suturing, splinting, etc.).
Collaborate with supervising physicians and multidisciplinary team for patient management.
Document patient encounters accurately in Epic EMR.
Participate in observation unit protocols and patient discharge planning.
