About the Position
LocumJobsOnline is working with Barton Associates to find a qualified Physical Medicine NP in Maryland!
Our client in Maryland is seeking a dedicated Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation Nurse Practitioner for a 120-day assignment. This role involves covering an inpatient rehab unit Monday through Friday, 9 am to 5 pm, focusing on patient care, charting, and managing admissions and discharges for a diverse patient population.
Responsibilities and Duties
Cover the inpatient rehab unit
Prepare notes and round with the physician partner
Share charting responsibilities with the physician
Handle admission and discharge orders, typically two of each daily
Follow up with patients as needed
Care for an older patient population, often including limb salvage, foot injury, and dialysis patients
Engage in inpatient rehab programs covering amputation, brain injury, cancer, cardiac, orthopedic, spinal cord injury, and stroke rehabilitation
No screening or consult responsibilities are required
Additional Information
Required Board Certifications: Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation
EMR: Cerner
Setting: Inpatient rehabilitation unit
Average census is 34 patients per day, with a high end of 40
Work in a doc/APP pairing, responsible for approximately 10-12 patients per day
