Job description
Locum Occupational Medicine Nurse Practitioner – New Brunswick, NJ
Palm Health Resources is hiring an experienced Nurse Practitioner for a locum Occupational Medicine opportunity in New Brunswick, New Jersey . This is an outpatient, non-hospital assignment with no call responsibilities and an expedited onboarding process .
The assignment is currently expected to run from October through November 2026 , with a primary need for weekday afternoon/evening coverage.
Schedule:
Monday–Thursday: 10:30 AM–7:00 PM
Friday: 8:30 AM–5:00 PM
Additional 2–3 day-per-week coverage may also be available
No call
Approximately 20–25 patients per day
Position Responsibilities:
Pre-employment and pre-placement physical examinations
Return-to-work evaluations and clearances
Initial and follow-up workplace injury assessments
Workers' Compensation evaluations
Fit-for-duty examinations
Medical surveillance and occupational exposure follow-up
Employee health screenings and for-cause substance testing
Order and interpret appropriate laboratory testing and diagnostic X-rays
Collaborate with physicians and other Advanced Practice Providers
Requirements:
Experienced Nurse Practitioner with a strong clinical background
Active New Jersey license
Current DOT certification
Active NJ CDS and DEA
Comfortable managing Workers' Compensation cases
Occupational or employee health experience preferred
Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced outpatient environment
