Job DescriptionHello,

\ NA Critical AccessHospital in Dickinson, North Dakota is seeking Locum Pediatric coverage for their Labor & Delivery, Pediatrics Unit, and Level II Nursery , with immediate February coverage and ongoing needs throughout 2026 .

\ NCoverage Needs:

\ N February: 2nd or 3rd week of February

\ N Ongoing: 7 days per month throughout 2026

\ N Average Callback: ~4.7 hours

\ N Practice Setting:

\ N Critical Access Hospital

\ N Level II Nursery

\ N Labor & Delivery / Pediatrics Unit

\ N EMR: Meditech

\ N Clinical Responsibilities:

\ N Attend vaginal deliveries (as requested)

\ N Attend scheduled and emergent C-sections

\ N Admit/discharge newborns

\ N Admit andmanage pediatric patients

\ N Perform circumcisions

\ N Required Procedures:

\ N Circumcisions

\ N Newborn resuscitation

\ N Intubations

\ N Umbilical venous catheter (UVC) placement

\ N Lumbar punctures

\ N Patient Volume:

\ N Average 2–3 admissions per day

\ N Generally do not deliver if avoidable

\ N Transfers to Bismarck, ND (CHI St. Alexius or Sanford Health) when needed

\ N Support & Resources:

\ N Experiencednursing team

\ N Level II nursery nurses

\ N OB/GYNs, anesthesia, respiratory therapists

\ N Local pediatricians available for consult

\ N NICU support in Bismarck (90 miles)

\ N Credentialing:

\ N Emergency privileges available

\ N Position is in lieu of an enrolled provider ( ND license or IMLC required

\ N SubmissionRequirements (ALL REQUIRED):

\ N ND License or IMLC

\ N ACLS, BLS, PALS, NRP

\ N Clean malpractice history

\ N Availability at time of name clear

\ N Self-Query NPDB (pulled within 30 days)

\ N Board Certified/Board Eligible highly preferred

\ N Travel:

\ N Air travel approved

\ N Preferred hotel accommodations

\ N Travel details (departure city, lodging needs) must be noted at submission
