Description:
Exciting opportunity available for two full-time Locum Anesthesiologists.
Coverage is needed from November 1, 2026, to February 28, 2027, and from November 1, 2026, to April 30, 2027.
This position is for FMLA coverage.
The practice setting is hospital-based operating rooms.
The schedule consists of shifts from 0700 to 1530, Monday through Friday.
No call schedule is required.
The average number of surgical cases per day is between 50 and 60.
The Locum Tenens Physician will be required to supervise CRNAs in a care team model.
The physician will practice a mix of supervising CRNAs and working solo.
The patient age demographic ranges from neonatal to adult.
The facility is an ACS Level 1 Trauma Center.
There are 22 Anesthesiologists in practice and 14 operating rooms.
The annual emergency room volume is approximately 70,000.
The operating room staff includes a collegial team of RNs, surgical techs, PCAs, surgeons, proceduralists, and APPs.
The following procedures are required: General Surgical Cases - Neonatal, Pediatric, and Adult; Thoracic Cases (except open heart), Complex Orthopedic Cases, Neurosurgical Cases, Ventilation Management.
Pain management procedures preferred include: Insertion of Arterial Line and Evaluation and Management of Acute Volume/BP Issues.
