Quick Facts Location: Marquette, MI Start Date: 09/23/2026 Shift: 9am-9pm (no on-call hours) Duration: Ongoing, with potential future dates Hours/week: 36 hours Employment Type: Contract/Locum Licensure/Certs: State license, DEA, BLS, ACLS, ATLS, Michigan controlled substance license Experience: Prior ER experience preferred Pay & Benefits Hourly Pay Rate: $1.00 Pay package discussed upon application Benefits Include: Weekly pay via direct deposit Comprehensive medical benefits (W-2) Paid sick time according to state, federal, and local laws Licensure, certification, travel, and reimbursement when applicable Robust referral bonus program 24/7 dedicated team support What You’ll Do Assess and treat patients in the emergency department, including adults and children Perform triage, stabilize patients, and execute emergency procedures Provide rapid clinical decision-making in high-pressure situations Document patient interactions and treatment plans in the hospital’s EMR Collaborate with nurses, specialists, and support staff to deliver high-quality emergency care Cover triage role as volume demands, working with 1-2 board-certified emergency physicians Support ancillary services such as Radiology, Laboratory, Respiratory Therapy, and more What You Need Required: Satisfactory completion of a PA/NP program Current license to practice as a Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner in Michigan Michigan controlled substance license and DEA registration AHA approved BLS, ACLS, and ATLS certifications Emergency department experience working with adults and children Preferred: Fast-paced ED experience Strong communication skills and ability to work under pressure Team-oriented patient care approach About the Assignment Join a dedicated emergency department team at a modern facility on the scenic shores of Lake Superior.
