Physician Assistant | Surgery - Cardiothoracic Location: Springfield, OH Employer: Wellhart, LLC Pay: Competitive weekly pay (inquire for details) Start Date: 10/13/2026 About the Position We are seeking a skilled Cardiothoracic Physician Assistant for a 10-day assignment in Ohio, commencing Sep 8, 2026. This role involves Monday-Friday 8 AM - 5 PM shifts with floor call/beeper coverage from 3 PM - 7 AM, focusing on comprehensive post-operative care for cardiothoracic and vascular patients, emergency surgeries, and essential duties like vein harvesting and consultations. Responsibilities and Duties Provide post-operative care for cardiothoracic and vascular patients Perform emergency surgeries on cardiothoracic and vascular patients Take consults and referrals from the ED, Cath Lab, and other hospital providers Perform vein harvesting during heart surgery Assist in surgery Write prescriptions Coordinate patient care Conduct patient rounding Interpret tests Order tests Perform retrieval of vascular tissues for use as a bypass conduit Additional Information Board Certifications: Vascular Surgery; Cardiothoracic Surgery EMR: Epic Call Schedule: Floor call/beeper from 3 PM - 7 AM Benefits Strong compensation Travel-related expenses covered A-rated medical malpractice insurance provided Dedicated recruiter for future travel opportunities614ebcce-2988-4a21-9a10-1fc0c5beffbb
