Physician Assistant | Surgery - General/Other Location: Dallas, TX Employer: Alumni Healthcare Staffing Pay: Competitive weekly pay (inquire for details) Contract Duration: 4 Weeks Start Date: ASAP About the Position Specialty Pediatrics: Cardiovascular Surgery (343) State TX Location 7777 Forest Lane, Dallas, TX 75230 Requirements There is a need for APP: Surgical Specialties at Medical City Dallas. MUST BE LOCAL Weekend day coverage with Healthrust APP locums 180/hr Board Certified/Eligible: Yes ATLS is required Coverage: Every Weekend day coverage. There will be no FA duties Inpatient admissions consults discharge etc Collaborating with our on-call surgeons covering ED and elective gen surg/level 3 trauma consults Special Certifications/Requirements: Nurse practitioner - Acute Care Adult certification. No FA required. Physician Assistant - Board certification or Texas standard to practiceTexas licensure. Inpatient consultation coverage for general surgery/trauma adult patient populations at MCD. Patient Volume: 0 EMR: EcW Monthly Coverage: Weekend day coverage Support Staff: Nursing Certifications or Requirements: Nurse practitioner - Acute Care Adult certification. No FA required Physician Assistant - Board certification or Texas standard to practice Texas licensure Inpatient consultation coverage for general surgery/trauma adult patient populations at MCD NP or PA - PA preference but I am open to both. Pt volume is variable consisting of consultations follow ups pre and post operative consults as well as rounding with physicians. It will be a busy service. • How many weekends per month? All • Are the providers only working shift work Friday Saturday and Sunday? Saturday and Sunday only • Will they need support past June? Possibly yes • Will the providers also be in the OR? If so any specific procedures required? No except basic bedside procedures that would be familiar with any app currently in practice dressing/drain management etc. • Who is their supervising physician? There will be several supervising physicians. MCD currently has 7 providers whom cover the trauma call schedule at MCD Are Discharging will be done by the APP or MD Hospitalist?
