Physician Assistant | Surgery - General/Other Location: Springfield, OH Employer: Alumni Healthcare Staffing Pay: Competitive weekly pay (inquire for details) Contract Duration: 2 Weeks Start Date: ASAP About the Position Specialty Cardiothoracic Surgery State OH Location 100 Medical Center , Springfield, OH Requirements Job Type: (Locum)Profession/Specialty: (Physician Assistant PA) Cardiothoracic and Vascular SurgeryCoverage Location: Springfield Regional Medical Center Springfield Ohio Rate Expectations/Caps if applicable: Dates of Coverage: 9/8/2026 at 7 am to 9/18/2026 and this could be adjusted if a current locum can cover some of thisWill need at least 1 week to 2 weeks a month of coverage until 2027 Schedule: Mon-Fri 8a-5p and floor call/beeper 3p to 7aSaturday and Sunday 24 hour onsite support and floor call or OR callCall Coverage: YesCall Type: (In-HouseBeeper/Phone Call)Call Ratio: Would be on call if on assignmentAverage Amount of Call Back Hours: Weekend maybe around 10 of Providers Needed: 1Reason for Coverage: Due to growthPractice Settings: (Inpatient/Hospital-Based)Leadership Position/Required to Teach: Could possibly supervise/teach Patient Population: Adult Geriatric Outpatient vs Inpatient: InpatientAverage of Patients Per Day: Hospital 20-26Trauma Level Designation: 2Required Duties Procedures Skills etc: Post op care for all types of cardiothoracic and vascular patients. Doing emergency surgery on cardiothoracic and vascular patients. Taking consults/referrals from ED Cath Lab and all of hospital providers. Need to be able to take vein during heart surgery. Assist in SurgeryWrite PrescriptionsCoordination of CareRoundingInterpret TestsOrder TestVein HarvestingRetrieval of Vascular Tissues for Use as a Bypass ConduitEMR/Documentation: Epic Credentialing Timeframe: 90-120 days Temporary privileges potentially a week if quick submission of all needed items and a clean file/backgroundAre Temps Available?
