Physician Assistant | Urgent Care Location: Brentwood, PA Employer: WhiteCoat Locums Pay: $150 per hour Start Date: ASAP About the Position Urgent Care Physician Assistant Assignment Details Location: Brentwood and Surrounding Pittsburgh Area, Pennsylvania Provider Type: Physician Assistant Specialty: Urgent Care Practice Setting: Outpatient Urgent Care Coverage Type: Scheduled Day Coverage / No Call Start Date: November 2, 2026 Expected Duration: Ongoing Coverage Need: Full-Time EMR: Epic Schedule Monday-Sunday Coverage Shift Hours: 8:00 AM-8:00 PM Approximately 20 Shifts Per Month No Call Provider Will Rotate Between Multiple Urgent Care Locations Sites Are Within Approximately 30 Miles of Each Other Patient Population / Volume Patient Population: All Ages, Including Pediatrics Age 6 Months Approximately 3-4 Patients Per Hour Clinical Responsibilities Provide Outpatient Urgent Care Services Evaluate and Treat Common Acute Illnesses and Minor Injuries Treat Cold and Flu Symptoms Evaluate and Treat Rashes, Abrasions, and Lacerations Manage Sprains and Minor Burns Perform Suturing and Wound Care Perform Incision and Drainage Perform Splinting and Basic Orthopedic Procedures Perform and Interpret X-Rays and EKGs Perform Blood Draws and Start IVs Provide Pediatric Urgent Care Refer Higher-Acuity Patients to the Emergency Department Work Independently Without Onsite Supervision Required Procedures / Skills Suturing Wound Care Incision and Drainage Splinting X-Rays EKGs Blood Draws IV Placement Pediatric Care Independent Practice Clinical Environment / Support Medical Assistants Available Onsite Radiology Technicians Available Onsite Sites Typically Staffed With 1-3 Providers Per Day Provider May Work Independently If a Physician Is Not Onsite, a Physician Will Be Remotely Available for Escalation Requirements Board Certified - Required At Least 2 Years of Clinical Experience in Urgent Care - Required Active Pennsylvania License - Required at Time of Application Candidates Requiring Licensure Will Not Be Accepted DEA Registration - Required Pennsylvania CSR License - Required ACLS - Required BLS - Required PALS - Required Minimum of 2 Years of Urgent Care Experience OR 1 Year of Emergency Medicine Experience - Required Must Be Comfortable Treating Patients of All Ages, Including Pediatrics Age 6 Months Must Be Comfortable With Orthopedic Procedures, Including Splinting Must Be Comfortable With Wound Care Must Be Comfortable Working Independently Drive-In Candidates Within Approximately 2-3 Hours of the Coverage Area - Required Submission Requirements Must Confirm Provider Comfort With Suturing, Wound Care, and Incision and Drainage Must Confirm Provider Comfort With Splinting Must Confirm Provider Comfort With X-Rays and EKGs Must Confirm Provider Comfort With Blood Draws and IVs Must Confirm Provider Comfort Working Independently Must Confirm Provider Comfort Treating Pediatric Patients Credentialing Credentialing Timeframe: Approximately 90 Days Full Privileges Available Temporary Privileges Available614ebcce-2988-4a21-9a10-1fc0c5beffbb
