Description:
We are seeking Emergency Medicine Physicians to fill locum needs.
The schedule includes open shift coverage with 9 and 12-hour shifts.
There are no on-call responsibilities associated with this position.
Inpatient responsibilities are not required.
The emergency department averages 77 patients per day.
The facility has a trauma level 3 designation with 250 beds.
There are approximately 33,000 annual visits.
The busiest shifts occur between 11 AM and 11 PM.
Transfer out rates are less than 3%.
There is an average of 15 open shifts per month, filled on a first-come, first-served basis.
Candidates will be required to cover a significant number of these shifts.
Physician coverage includes both day and night hours.
The position involves supervision of advanced practice providers.
A teaching opportunity is available at a teaching hospital.
Clean backgrounds are required for all candidates.
Board certification in emergency medicine is mandatory.
