Job Description
Job Title: Locum Hematologist Oncologist

License: Active state license or active IMLC required.
Certifications: Board Certified in Hematology Oncology required. Fellowship Trained in Hematology Oncology required.

- Availability for at least 2 weeks per month (Monday to Thursday)
- Clean malpractice and background
Description:
A locum hematologist oncologist is needed to fill a full-time position.
Candidates must be available for two weeks per month.
Patient contact hours are variable.
The typical schedule is Monday through Thursday.
There will be 16 shifts per month with a shift length of 8 hours.
Clinic hours are from 0800 to 1630.
On-call responsibilities may include one week and one weekend per month, limited to phone calls only.
Inpatient responsibilities are required, although in-hospital consultations are infrequent.
Hospitalists will admit all patients, and the physician will primarily field calls from hospitalists.
There will be no outreach or telehealth responsibilities.
Job responsibilities include consultations, follow-up care, and overseeing the administration of antineoplastics in the clinic.
There will be two advanced practice providers, although supervision of APP is not expected.
Nursing support will include two nurses per provider, plus referral and triage nurses.
Ancillary staff will include reception, lab, social workers, referrals, and dieticians.
Services offered in the practice will include antineoplastics, phlebotomies, IV IgG, iron therapy, and bone marrow biopsies.
There will be four exam rooms available.
Medical imaging and lab services will be available.
The daily volume of clinic providers is anticipated to be 16 to 20 patients.
The average daily hospital practice census will be 0 to 2 patients.
Appointment lengths are flexible and can be adjusted by the provider.
Patient demographics will include individuals aged 18 years and older.
An electronic medical record system will be used.
There will be teaching opportunities available.
