Locum Maternal Fetal Medicine Opportunity
Location: Richmond / Midlothian, VA
Position Type: Locum | Physician – Maternal Fetal Medicine
Overview: Locum Maternal Fetal Medicine opportunity providing office-based and inpatient coverage to support the practice during an active recruitment period. This is a high-acuity MFM practice with strong clinical and support staff.
Practice Highlights:
Practice Setting: Office and inpatient coverage
Reason for Coverage: Support during recruitment period
Dates of Coverage: TBD
Average Patients Per Day: ~27 scheduled patients
Practice Structure:
1 MFM physician per site
2-provider service across two locations
1 Nurse Practitioner providing rotating support
Exam Rooms: 3
Onsite Ultrasound: Yes
Onsite Lab: No
Nursery Level: Level III
Trauma Level: N/A
EMR: EPIC, Viewpoint
Support Staff:
RN clinic educator
Sonographer
Genetic counselor
Front office team
Patient Mix:
High-Risk Pregnancies: 95%
Low-Risk Pregnancies: 5%
Required Procedures & Skill Sets:
Amniocentesis
Chorionic Villus Sampling
Cerclage (preferred)
Pre-eclampsia
Multiple gestations
Fetal growth restriction
Chromosomal & congenital abnormalities
Pre-term labor
Hypertension & thrombophilia
Genetic disorders & birth defects
Vaginal and Cesarean deliveries
Management of complex maternal and fetal co-morbidities
Credentialing:
Estimated Credentialing Timeframe: ~90 days
Submission Requirements:
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Maternal Fetal Medicine – REQUIRED
MFM Fellowship – REQUIRED
Active Virginia License – REQUIRED
BLS – REQUIRED
AIUM Certification – Preferred
Candidates must be submitted to both locations to be considered – REQUIRED
