Quick Facts Location: Petoskey, MI Start Date: 09/10/2026 End Date/Duration: Ongoing, with extension possibilities Shift: 6a - 6a inpatient and call (no clinic) Hours/week: Variable, based on call coverage Employment Type: Locum Tenens Licensure/Certs: Board Certified in Cardiology, MI medical license required Experience: Minimum 3 years in cardiology, proficiency in echocardiography and stress testing Pay & Benefits Pay Rate: Competitive hourly rate based on experience Benefits Include: Weekly pay via direct deposit Comprehensive medical benefits (W-2) Robust referral bonus program Paid sick time per lawful requirements Licensure, certification, and travel reimbursements when applicable 24/7 dedicated support team from VHS Paid orientation and training What You’ll Do Provide inpatient cardiology care during 6a-6a shifts including on-call responsibilities Interpret echocardiograms, treadmill, and chemical stress tests Collaborate with a team supported by three inpatient Advanced Practice Providers Manage complex cardiac cases in a hospital setting Document in Cerner EHR system What You Need Active MI medical license and Board Certified in Cardiology Minimum 3 years’ experience in cardiology practice Proficiency in echocardiography, stress testing, and interpretation Strong communication and teamwork skills About the Assignment This position is based at a top-tier health system in Petoskey, MI, offering challenging and rewarding inpatient cardiology coverage.
