Emergency Medicine Physician Requirements
Minimum of 1 year of Emergency Medicine experience required
Board certification in Emergency Medicine preferred; strong experienced providers may be considered
Comfort working independently in a busy emergency department
Ability to manage a high-volume, fast-paced patient environment
Competency with common ED procedures, including intubation, procedural sedation, fracture reduction/splinting, chest tube placement, CPR, suture repair, I&D, and central line placement
Excellent clinical judgment and strong communication skills
Responsibilities
Provide high‑quality emergency care for a broad range of acute medical and traumatic presentations
Evaluate and treat patients presenting with chest pain, abdominal pain, shortness of breath, falls, MVC‑related injuries, and sports injuries
Perform essential emergency procedures as needed to stabilize and treat patients
Work efficiently in a high‑volume setting with an average daily census of 55‑60 patients
Deliver care during both day and night coverage on a rotating schedule
Collaborate with the ED team to support safe, timely, and effective patient care
