Schedule: Rotational coverage with morning, mid, and night options
Shift Duration: 12-hour shifts
Weekly Hours: Approximately 36 hours per week
Call: No call coverage required
Orientation: 2-day shadowing and orientation
Setting: Busy emergency department with chest pain and stroke center capabilities
Location: Hendersonville, Tennessee, with convenient access to the greater Nashville area, lakeside recreation, dining, shopping, and outdoor amenities
Job Requirements
ABEM certification required
New graduates welcome; emergency medicine training and strong clinical judgment are essential
Ability to work in a fast-paced emergency department setting
Comfort with standard emergency department procedures
Clean file preferred for consideration of emergency privileges
Willingness to complete credentialing requirements, including case logs if requested
Collaborative approach with physicians, APPs, nurses, and techs
Responsibilities
Provide high-quality emergency medicine care for standard ED visits
Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients presenting with acute illnesses and injuries
Perform common emergency department procedures as needed
Work alongside APPs and clinical support staff to maintain efficient patient flow
Manage admissions, consults, and follow-up needs based on the case
Deliver patient care in a setting with average-acuity volume and a strong team-based workflow
Support timely, compassionate care for a large and diverse patient population
