Join a high-volume emergency department with solo coverage, strong support services, and a fast-paced clinical environment. Job Details Specialty: Emergency Medicine Role Type: Locum tenens physician job Location: Clinton, North Carolina Setting: Emergency Department with open ICU Shift Length: 12-hour shifts Shift Coverage: Day and night coverage on select dates Estimated Weekly Pay: $6,160 - $7,290 Credentialing Timeline: Approximately 14 days Patient Volume: 90-100 patients per day; physicians typically see 18-20 patients per 12-hour shift Coverage Model: 1 physician with 2 mid-level providers in split coverage EMR: Meditech 6.1 Job Requirements Board certification required At least 1 year of Emergency Medicine experience required Must be NC Medicaid credentialed and enrolled in PECOS Active, unrestricted physician license and ability to meet locum tenens credentialing requirements Comfortable working in a solo coverage emergency department environment Ability to manage a broad range of emergency medicine cases in a high-volume setting Responsibilities Provide standard solo Emergency Department coverage during 12-hour shifts Evaluate, diagnose, and treat a wide variety of emergency medicine patients Collaborate with mid-level providers and available support services to ensure efficient patient care Utilize Meditech 6.1 for documentation and workflow management Deliver timely, patient-centered care in a busy but well-supported clinical environment Maintain high standards of clinical judgment, communication, and documentation throughout each shift Location Highlights Clinton, NC offers a welcoming small-town atmosphere in southeastern North Carolina.
