Job Details Position: Locum Tenens Emergency Medicine Physician Setting: Emergency Department Location: Fredericksburg, Virginia Start Date: 12/15/2026 Duration: 12 weeks Shift: 12-hour night shifts Hours per Week: 36 Estimated Weekly Pay: $6,270-$7,420 Coverage: 1 opening Schedule Type: Nights only Job Requirements Board certified or board eligible in Emergency Medicine through ABEM or AOBEM; ABPS Emergency Medicine board-certified candidates are also welcome At least 1 year of emergency medicine experience required Current ATLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required Ability to work consistent night shifts in a fast-paced emergency department Eligibility for appropriate credentialing and Virginia licensure Responsibilities Provide high-quality emergency medical care in a busy, integrated emergency department Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients presenting with urgent and emergent conditions Perform critical interventions and stabilize patients for admission or transfer when needed Collaborate with nursing staff, specialists, hospitalists, and intensivists to ensure seamless patient care Support efficient patient flow during night coverage Manage a broad range of adult and pediatric emergency medicine cases Apply now to take the next step in your locum tenens emergency medicine career in Fredericksburg, Virginia.
