Doctor of Medicine | Emergency Medicine Location: Artesia, NM Employer: Wellhart, LLC Pay: Competitive weekly pay (inquire for details) Start Date: 12/18/2026 About the Position We are seeking an Emergency Medicine Physician for an 8-day assignment in New Mexico, starting Dec 18, 2026. This role involves providing critical access ER coverage during 12-hour shifts, focusing on a range of emergency procedures and patient stabilization. Responsibilities and Duties Provide critical access emergency room coverage. Perform procedures including endotracheal intubation, central/arterial line placement, paracentesis/thoracentesis, arthrocentesis, lumbar puncture, tube/needle/finger thoracotomy, chemical/electric cardioversion, and closed fracture reductions. Stabilize and prepare trauma patients for transfer to an academic campus. Additional Information Board Certification in Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, or Internal Medicine is required. The facility utilizes the Evident EMR system. This is an inpatient emergency department setting.
